A show for all audiences where three boys embark on countless adventures. Bachibouzouk! was one of Captain Haddock’s favorite insults, and it is now the title of a children’s show by Philippe Saire. Three boys set off on an adventure, inventing ephemeral worlds that rise up and then immediately collapse. They stumble, laugh, and compete in imaginary battles, get back up, always rowdy – like the “bracaillons” mercenaries of the Ottoman Empire, the Bachibouzouk. On stage, tarps transform into landscapes, animals, or fantastical characters. As the stories unfold, these tarps become projection screens for the imagination. In this playground of endless possibilities, their bodies trace epic tales guided by fun and joy.
Bachibouzouk! is a playful and poetic fable that celebrates friendship, audacity, and the joy of creating together… a thousand, billions stories!
