With unwavering seriousness, two scientists from the improbable “GIRAFE” (International Research Group for Automatically Federating Voters) employ all the tricks of verbal manipulation: doublespeak, sophisms, microphone monopolization, the art of evasion. Everything is fair game. But be warned, this production is not just a rhetoric workshop – it’s a corrosive comedy that exposes the often-jammed mechanisms of political discourse.
On stage, Adeline Benamara and Sébastien Valignat (who also wrote the script and directed the performance) portray a duo of collaborators, delivering false electoral advice and real demonstrations of bad faith. Here, humor serves as a weapon to highlight the real potential of manipulation through language.
