{"id":12950,"date":"2026-01-27T17:40:03","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T16:40:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usineagaz.ch\/?post_type=event&#038;p=12950"},"modified":"2026-01-27T17:40:26","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T16:40:26","slug":"steps-play-dead","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/usineagaz.ch\/en\/event\/steps-play-dead\/","title":{"rendered":"STEPS : Play Dead"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Circus of Everyday Life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With its very first production <em>Play Dead<\/em>, the young Canadian circus company People Watching has achieved resounding success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A living room thrown into chaos, flying plates, a bottomless cupboard, stories that interlock: in <em>Play Dead<\/em>, the Montreal collective People Watching present a surreal chronicle of everyday life. In a completely ordinary interior, six artists &#8211; who have previously worked with Cirque du Soleil, The 7 Fingers, or Circa &#8211; combine acrobatics, dance, and physical theatre to reveal unexpected contours of cohabitation. Couch flips, improbable slides, and everyday life itself are transformed into performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The premise of <em>Play Dead<\/em> was envisioned during the first lockdown. Four of the artists engaged in various creative explorations within the limited space of their homes. As a result, the set design reflects a domestic environment.
